Elizabeth hurriedly got herself ready, putting on a dress and a pair of black buckle-on shoes, and quickly tying one of her favorite matching bows in her curly hair. She was going to be in so much trouble if she didn't hurry. The strange man who had taken her from her house would be upset if she were late. He said this was important. The child kissed her giraffe plush’s nose before placing it down again to head out the door. Hopefully, he wouldn't be upset..

She calmed down, trying to listen and believe his words. He was the priest after all, and she didn’t want to get punished like that one bit, so she trusted what he was saying was true. Though Elizabeth thought this, she couldn’t help but flinch as he brushed her hair aside. “U-uh-huh.. okay..”
