So the idea is for the illustration worm\k for your story which attracts the reader and enhance the reader's experience:

For my illustration, I want to bring Lilah’s story to life by showing the contrast between the joy she feels with her friends and the struggles she faces at home. One scene captures her sitting on the counter at Heyward's store, legs swinging as she chats with JJ, who’s leaning beside her with a playful grin. The store feels warm and inviting, filled with surfboards and the charm of a coastal hangout, but outside, dark clouds hint at an approaching storm. In the other scene, Lilah is coming home after a long day, standing in the doorway with rain dripping off her damp clothes. The room inside is chaotic—empty beer bottles, scattered cans, and her mother slumped on the couch. Her posture says it all: she’s tired but determined. Through the lighting and colors, I want to show the warmth and light of her friendships against the cold, muted tones of her home, reflecting her resilience and the weight she carries.
