Congratulations to anyone who entered the (ONC 2026) competition this year. 
          
          Unfortunately I missed the deadline to enter because Wattpad site went down and kept showing an error message so I missed the submission deadline, which is a little frustrating.  
          
          Anyone else have that problem? 
          I was hoping they might extend the submission window because of this, but never mind. 
          
          I think I may write the story I had planned anyway just for fun, (although if I am being honest I never finished the one I started last year.) 
          
          Anyway good luck to all those who have entered. Happy writing. 
          Also happy St David's day to any Welsh followers.  
          
          P.S Hopefully I will finish the next part of 'The Underbelly' in the next couple of days because  I realise that it has been so long since I posted a chapter and I am sorry about that.

          I came across your story the underbelly while exploring Wattpad today and I genuinely liked the atmosphere and effort you’ve put into it. As someone who also spends time writing and following stories here, I know how much consistency and patience it takes to keep sharing chapters.
          It’s always interesting discovering writers who are clearly serious about their craft, so I wanted to ask, what are you hoping to do with your story eventually? Are you planning to keep it on Wattpad or grow it beyond the platform at some point?
          No pressure at all, I just enjoy connecting with fellow writers here.

Snapdragon's Academy, of Spelling, Sorcery, Alchemy and Algebra  by Angela Goldsmith
          
          Due partly to the fact that this story is NOT really a Novella and won't be completed in 20,000 or probably not even 40.000 words. And partly because of a bereavement  in my family in April, and my illness with a chest infection in May, ho-hum, which completely knocked me out. I did not re-enter this story into the final round of the ONC2025n contest. Which is a shame and quite annoying because I was enjoying the process of being a part of it. Oh well! Sighs. 
          
            Anyway, I am happy that the story got through the first TWO rounds of the contest which proves, to me at least, that my writing is good  enough after all. 
            
          Congratulations to all those shortlisted in the final. Good luck everyone.  
          
            However, I have decided that I will keep writing this story nonetheless and I will make regular updates. Hopefully I will be able to enter it into the WATTYS instead.

Yay! One of my stories called 'Snapdragon's Academy, of Spelling, Sorcery, Alchemy and Algebra (ONC 2025)' Made it through to the second round of the Open Novella Contest ONC2025. Hooray! 
          
          I put a huge amount of time and work into that first chapter so it feels good to be acknowledged. Especially on this platform where I find it difficult to get noticed.
