Anita has acquired her Masters Degree in Literature from Mumbai University after graduating from Sathaye College. She later did her Journalism from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan.
She has never failed to surprise anyone with her sprightliness when she got down to her work. Her focus and vibrancy would be a revelation as her "lost in the woods" look, queer nature, and her child-like mannerisms do not disclose any of her hidden talents-be it her way with words, or her dancing skills, or for that matter her mimicry.
Her benevolently curious mind attempts to look beyond the normal reality of people, making it difficult for others to understand her innocuous nature. The way the world appears to her is perhaps lacking in order but her creative sense is always straining to prod further and further; beyond and afar.
For being overtly sensitive she suffered in the cauldron of weakness and confusion until she discovered "Brahmavidya." It is taught as "Science of mental physics" in California. She is pursuing or attempting to learn the way of living in harmony with self and in sync with the spiritual laws of life. The learnings have greatly inspired not just her writing but her life as well."Brahmavidya" encouraged her to give words to her thoughts and she published her first work of fiction, "Expiry date: not the end," an e-book on Amazon. It is a contemporary romance with an amazing mix of philosophical, inspirational, realistic ideas, and fits in contemporary or literary fiction. The book almost always is in the top 100 ranking in Indian writing category.
Her use of language is much like the English Renaissance period but it effectively depicts the Indian-ness of her characters. Her writings resemble the simplicity of "Malgudy days" according to a comment by a reader. They are a journey back to Hrishikesh Mukherjee or a Basu Chaterjee movie which were generally feel-good family dramas.
Her upcoming book, "Secret ....know more," reflects her reflections on life.
