@Swift_mystique | yes, throughout 2 books i'll cover 10 seasons + all the main arcs from season 11 in comics (how will that work? i still have no idea but i'll make it work lol)
            
            i absolutely love your theories because they are 1000000% correct (did you peak into my brain? honestly) and since you were so thoughtful for express your love for E.T. here's a small spoiler directly connected to you theory about the braclet and protecting everyone but mel:
            
            in a future chapter melissa will get hurt (bc honestly who doesn't at some point in the show?) but it's pretty bad and (keep in mind at this point they've found a portion of caelionite) and clark is so frustrated at himself for not being able to save her or for the so called 'protective' bracelet failing in protecting her that he end up smashing a rock of caelionite and it breaks into pieces. later on that same broken piece will appear again... in a jewelry... in a ring... a very special ring.
            
            i cannot wait for clark and mel to get together!!! i think they might be my favorite couple i've wrote :) 
            
            i hate how they made chloe and lana "fight" in the beginning and from the start i knew that was not the energy i wanted for them at least not towards clark or to think of melissa as competition (especially since i wanted them all to be friends bc i love when chloe and lana become best friends/close)
            
            and believe me, melissa will have lots of badass scars involving her bow and secret mission (we might even have a scene of clark having to patch her up and take care of her after a fight.......)
            
            i completely and absolutely love to hear theories because sometimes they help me with future chapters that are not planned so please feel free to tell me all about them!!!

@Swift_mystique | oh my god thank you so much for this message!!!! i was needing to hear/read words like these to help me get back into writing! im more than happy to know how my beloved 'E.T.' is well appreciated by you and how much you like this book that i poured my heart in! 
            
            i've always dreamed about 'casting' anne h for a book and as soon as i finished watching season 1 of smallville i knew she'd be the right choice to be my melissa. 
            
            i love when i read a book with especial details such as exclusive pet names  and i'm glad i could enter something so intimate as clarks future way to address to mel and still make it "real" since kryptonian language is made up — i just added some touches to pre-existing words and honestly cannot wait for clark to use them!!
            
            tbh the songs take almost as much time to pick as i take to write a full chapter and it fills my heart to have that acknowledge by you so again thank you ao much!!! i have all the gifs from the beginning of the chapters ready and im happy to hear they help set the scene and gives a peek of the chapter thats about to unfold! and long chapters are a must have for me!!! i love when a chapter is so long it gives the reader the feeling of 'wow that was a long road' mixed with 'i got everything i wanted from this chapter' and (for me) a small chapter doesn't give you time to connect deeply with the story and the characters.

@annabrbcc - I did have a small thought! In the Cassandra chapter, when the bracelet is mentioned as protecting the love of her life and her loved ones — what if it protects everyone except Melissa herself? Like it guarantees their safety, but not hers? That could add such an emotional layer and tension later on.
            
            Also… the tension between Melissa and Clark is killing me just kiss already!! I love how others subtly push them toward each other. And thank you for not turning it into a competition between Lana Lang, Chloe Sullivan, and Melissa — that would’ve been chaos.
            
            I’m really excited to see Clark eventually tell Melissa the truth, and how she’ll react — especially with Thea involved. I’d also love to see more action from Melissa. Maybe a secret mission where she ends up hurt and hides a badass scar? And I’m so curious about how her dynamic with Lois Lane will unfold when they finally meet.
            
            And the way Clark is so attentive toward her? My heart can’t take it.
            
            I won’t get ahead of myself with all my theories just yet — but please know your work is truly appreciated. I know these long chapters take time, and they are absolutely worth the wait.
            
            Can’t wait to see where this goes. Keep up the amazing work!

he asks her out on stray (season 1 ep 16) and the next chapter will be skipped to focus only on their date (you could say they get together there :)
