Hello! I was wondering when Pretty Boy will be resumed again??? I'm dying to know what happens between Alice and Charlie!!! I'm your biggest fan here on Wattpad! Every time I log in, I can assure you that the first book to check for updates is yours.

A million apologies for the hiatus on Pretty Boy. I started grad school in September and with working full time it’s been pretty busy. As soon as things settle down I’ll get right back to it - can’t leave Alice all swoony for much longer!

          I wanted to post a brief update on Pretty Boy. As of the last chapter, the book is at the halfway mark, so what I need to do is sit down and figure out where all the pieces fit from here to the end. As you can probably tell from the events of the last chapter, the next couple are going to be pretty meaningful for Alice and Charlie, so I'm going to take a bit of extra care to put them together and post them together. I'll probably have to re-write a few times until it works, so no timeline on the update save to say it'll be in the next couple of weeks.
          
          The good news is that I'm on a bit of a writing retreat Labour Day week so I'll be spending a lot of time with Charlie and Alice for four days.

Hey all, really sorry for the lack of update this week but I had the dumbest computer problem. My laptop is getting a little older and while it's still good, it keeps losing keys, so I've had no Y key for the last week. I have a PC but I lost an entire book once during a bad sync, so I only ever write on the laptop now. I was a little worried it would take weeks to replace, since I normally order from a place in California, but I managed to find a place in Pennsylvania and the order arrived in a week, so I'm back at writing this weekend. Thanks for hanging in there after the cliffhanger of the last chapter.

Chapter Thirteen is a bit of a doozy to write so I'm splitting it up into two. Sorry about the cliffhanger!

Hello Ms. Annemarie Hartnett, will there be an update on Pretty Boy this weekend?

Sorry for the delay in the next chapter - I got my painting done, then went on a short planned vacation last week (I stayed at Ingleside from the Anne of Green Gables series!), at the end of which I got working on the next chapter. I've gotten a few chapters written ahead (I even have the ending chapter written heh) so as soon as I catch up to myself there'll be double and triple the chapters updated.
          
          Also, if anyone is a fan of spooky stories, I've been contributing to the No Sleep Podcast for the last year or so. You can listen to my ghost story Half Moon Island on the S10 premiere (https://www.thenosleeppodcast.com/episodes/s10/10x01) -- when I'm not working on Pretty Boy this is the sort of thing I'm writing, and you can find the stories on my website, and probably before Christmas I'll post them here as well.
