Ahh i wanna return to my Historical Fiction roots and i wanna write a MxM book again, but this time a sports rivalry romance! Yes I indeed saw HEATED RIVALRY and loved it. But i don’t mean hockey romance per se. Just smt with sports rivalry because i enjoy that genre of books personally so, so, so much! Will be hard with the historical aspect tho… any ideas in which sports to choose?

@Lup1ne Horse racing has always been a sport no matter the era. If you want them snobby you could do polo too. Lol.

@anneperaltanovels Jousting was a pretty popular one among knights. Extra tension if they're from opposite noble houses. Knight's were usually representative of their house's political reach and power and although jousting was really a game, it was a super dangerous one too, the two leads very well could seriously injure one another in their "game."
          	  
          	  Another one could be gladiators, which I feel is a lot more straightforward. Contrary to popular belief not all gladiators fought to the death, they were valuable assets for either the empire or the one's who owned them (many were slaves, some were also free men looking for money and fame).
          	  
          	  There were a lot of mesoamerican sports historically.

Oh hey that’s so kind and totally I’d be into this. But since my job is starting very soon commiting for a novel seems a bit tricky with my working hours. However if you’re cool with something small like a novella. I’d be game. Let me know i get it if that’s not feasible but right now for me committing to a full length novel with my schedule seems very unlikely. And I don’t want to give you my word and then not do it. Same problem with my review book store like i wanna give reviews so bad but i barely get time for it TT

Since I’m about to wrap my Computer Engineering degree in a few more months (by sept 2026) I’m planning to finally enroll myself in a creative writing specialisation course. I was thinking maybe the Wesleyan University Specialisation from Coursera would be a good option, for a self paced low effort course. Any art majors in my followers? If y’all have any suggestions for me for any good courses to improve my writing pls lmk!

@angryCrayons nw i didn't mind telling you abt it infact it was great to chat with someone on wp after so long I do miss the inbox a lot at times because it was a great way to connect. But they're so many bots and predatory accs nowadays it's kinda sad but makes sense.

hi WHAT just happened last night
          
          I entered @TheAmbys awards for the FIRST time ever… and somehow walked away with two Favorites ??
          i) Those Lovely Shards for Historical Fiction (the Bridgerton fangirl in me is screaming)
          
          ii) Forbidden Kiss for Romance (in THAT notoriously competitive category?? wild.)
          
          huge thank you to all the @Ambassadors because as someone who’s worked BTS before. Judging and managing 800+ entries is seriously crazy… a lot of time and heart goes into this. you guys are superheroes fr.
          
          lowkey wish I had more completed books up here. I rewrite, delete, re-plan my plot and characters every 5 business days  Consistency is so hard. But manifesting at least one more finished story I’m happy with in 2026 (even though I’m NOT entering ONC 2026… so pray for me lol).
          
          Lastly, seeing so many familiar usernames in favorites + grand favorites made me SO happy. CONGRATS besties, so proud of you all <33

Heyyy guys sorry for being so MIA. So ONC prompts have been posted for 2026! I won’t be participating this year but it is nostalgic since tomorrow will mark one year for Forbidden Kiss a book that did start out as a ONC Novella. I wish everyone participating my best wishes and all my support. I’ll be focusing on writing Twisted Kiss, hopefully i get 10 chapters out by Feb 20. As I start my big girl full time job around that timeline ahhhhh feels so crazy!!!!  Also happy black month everyone and happy writing for the ONC for all those participating this year!
