Stares intently at 14 yr old exclusionists and waits patiently for them to grow out of being consumed in lgbt discourse
Like I used to be an exclusionist when I was 14/15 and I think maturing definitely gets you out of there because the older you get the more you realize you don’t actually give a shit about what people do with their lives. People’s gender identities and the sexual orientation and the minuscule labels and ways they’ve come about finding out about themselves are neither important nor any of your business. It is so much easier to just let people live than dictating every label in their life.
This discourse is also so terminally online. If you meet a pansexual person irl you aren’t going to expect them to know every nuance and history of their identity and regurgitate it back to you to defend their own identity. If you meet a trans person you’re not going to demand whether or not they have dysphoria. None of this is your business. It’s just terminally online shit that has absolutely 0 reach outside of online lgbt spaces.
It is infinitely more harmful to constantly micro label people and dictate whether their sexuality/gender identity is “valid” enough or how the process in which they discovered themself is “valid” enough than it is to simply move on with your life.
Lgbt discourse stops being a hobby when it’s actively invalidating peoples identity bro
It’s literally so tiring to be constantly consumed in discourse I genuinely dont understand how or why people willingly subject themselves to constant negativity and fighting All The Time
“The author meant to do this but couldn’t” “the author originally meant to have [blank] with [blank]!”
Ok but they didn’t. It doesn’t matter what the authors “intent” was when u don’t get that in the work itself bro
