So,
I haven't been on here for a good while, and I returned to find that Wattpad has deleted a ton of chapters from my books.
It's interesting to me that this platform, which has always has a ton of smut posted to it and which has gained so many users based on that, as suddenly started to enforce rules against it.
All my works are on ao3 in their complete state, but I must say it's still upsetting to see this platform gain pay walls and start to sanitize itself in an attempt to go mainstream, it feels like it's ostracizing it's original user base and attempting to exchange it for a new one.
I'm not saying it's unfair 'cause frankly it's their rules and their platform and they can do whatever they want. But it still feels strange to see this platform which was my first fanfic platform kinda push away fanfic authors little by little...
Some of my most popular books are now completely ripped apart due to the deletions of chapters and all I can do is sit back and watch it happen.
So, all I can say is; I'm done, I'm leaving.
I won't be posting more to this account and I'll be deleting the app. My works will stay up despite being incomplete, but I hope you'll all head to ao3 to read the full versions.
I've been bad at updating lately, but I hope to update the ao3 versions soon.
