@anokwriter69 there actually isn’t much of a reason—they don’t really give a concrete reason nor try to. 
            
            If they truly wanted the campers killed, they would’ve done it but Sonya for whatever reason actually trusted Brooklynn despite wanting her dead not to mention after Sonya found out the other campers were following her and trying to stop her…she didn’t really do anything to them. 
            
            There isn’t much of a reason at all—gotta love that writing. They just wanted the campers SOMEHOW involved in Dominions story despite not doing anything for said story.
