So in this series, I have mentioned The NPA several times.
Without further ado, here is their history;
March 4th, 1865, Abraham Lincoln is reflected as President of the United States of America.
A year before singing that he might be killed, he reluctantly forms The National Protection Agency.
An agency made up of former military street-smart agents assigned to aide in not only gathering information on any plots to kill the President, but also to aid The Secret Service and Pinkertons in stopping attempts on his life.
April 14th, 1865, President Lincoln is shot at Ford's Theater, despite warnings from his secretary and The NPA not to go.
He disperses his NPA protection team for the night, planning to depend solely on The Pinkertons and Secret Service for protection.
November 18th, 1963, President Kennedy disperses his NPA protection team, claiming that The local authorities and Secret Service will be enough to protect him when he goes to Dallas, Texas on the 22and, despite warnings from his secretary and The NPA not to go.
He doesn't release any information about the dispersement of the team until the 20th.
November 22and, 1963, President Kennedy is shot in Dallas, Texas and dies a short time later in the hospital.
November 22and, 1963, Lyndon Johnson is sworn in as president and makes sure not to disperse NPA protection, Allen Raglin is given the job as the director of the agency.
Present day, The agency is now under the direction of Allen's son Timmothy and is not only Presidential protection, but also protecting government witnesses.
They also have been given the authority to use force in interrogations, and have the power to call exclusive jurisdiction when they see fit.
They also join other agencies in the act of hunting fugitives.
They're trained at NPA Academy in Denver, Colorado.
