im here to talk about how happy seeing coco made me yall (unless you’re a minority yourself) probably have no idea how much it meant to me to finally see myself represented onscreen in a Disney movie. to see brown latinx characters in a film solely about latinx people and a tradition that’s big in Mexico meant so much to a little latina girl who never got to see any representation of herself onscreen. to see characters that looked like me with names like mine and hearing them speak my language and playing the music i grew up with. i was in tears (along with my mother) the entire movie. hollywood tends to forget about minorities in general and when we are on screen we’re usually being made fun of. it was so amazing to finally see us be represented as actual people and not some joke for gringos

Let me be clear here. When I say that English isn't my first language and to bear with me, I mean it.
I'm not using it as an excuse, I'm reminding you that whenever you wanna comment something about incorrect choice of words or phrases or grammar PLEASE REMEMBER that not everyone's first language is English. And remember that English is not an easy language!!!!
