Welcome to The Weave, guys.  That's what I call the interlocking solar systems and alternate dimensions I create in my spare time, which technically I have none of.  I have read such authors as Terry Pratchett, Rick Riordan, C.S. Lewis, Brian Jacques, and Michael Carroll, all of whom I highly recommend to proponents of the fictitious arts.  My favorite song is Viva la Vida (Coldplay) and my favorite color/element is cobalt (a dark blue) because of its fascinating and somewhat fantastic etymological history.  Check it out.
Also, I am a Catholic. It's what I am, who I am. This, however, introduces some conflict in my mind, my straight-as-a-dye Catholic upbringing clashing with interest in fantasy. Seriously, I have read so many things on this website that are SO against my religion. This gets me confused and upset. But I'm trying to be magnanimous. After all, we humans need to try to get along. 9_9 Part of getting along is learning about the other guy, and the scientist in me loves to learn about other cultures, ethnicities, religions, etc. If you want to share your background or opinions on any of those things, you'll find a willing listener right here. But if you're gonna be a hater, try to keep it low. I'll understand, because sometimes I wanna rant and criticize, but those are just opinions, and opinions are not all-important. What is Important is Love and acceptance (although you can go overboard with that). That being said, I'm out.
