I'm torn between including mature content in my Lockwood&Co fic or not. Because that story feels lile it should be keep PG-13.

I'm currently on my late twenties, and writing Lockwood and Ella romance scene made me feel like a teeneger all over again
MadsWritesBearnelli
@aphrdite_ I feel that so hard I end up giggling like a little kid when I go to write anything romantic

Just finished writing the plot outline for The Perfect Match act four. The original book (The Creeping Shadow) has 29 chapters in total, while act four only has 16 chapters because one chapter in act four will adapt 2 chapters from the original book at once. One chapter in act four will probably have 7000-9000 words. And I might start updating around July or August, if everything goes according to my plan.

@aphrdite_ THANK UUUU!! I hope everyone goes according ur plan. I can't wait to read the new chapters

just finished reading The Creeping Shadow... and I must say that now I have no idea how to incorporate my subplot for act four of The Perfect Match. The subplot will change the tone drastically. But it is necessary for Lockwood and Ella's arc.

@aphrdite_ but no pressure, take all the time you need. I will always waiting for it to come out <33

I just realized I had 6 story drafts so far, but only 3 of them that ever got passed chapter one. But only one of them that I kept coming back to; The Perfect Match (L&C fic). I can't go back to Always & Forever (TVDU fic), because now I see how problematic Nate Buzz is. I can't go back to Project Hope (The 100 fic) either, because it's really hard to write a highly intelligent OC, there's a lot of research about science that needed to be done first, and I just don't have the time and energy for that. It's easier for The Perfect Match because I love imagining Talia Ryder and Cameron Chapman as a couple (in my mind, they look so good together) and the characters felt like actual teengers, with all their messy emotions. So yeah, that's why I only continue The Perfect Match for now.

@demin_pearls_1326 Thanks for saying this, I'm glad you got to write your own fic too! You know, at first I was like that too, that's why I kept writing Always&Forever, even when some people already warned me about how problematic he was. But then I saw his IG account, and it just ruined everything. I felt sick to my stomatch to ever imagine him in my mind. But I can't exactly delete the story, and maybe I will update it again, someday. I hope you have a good week too!

Alright! Thanks for taking time out of your day to write this. I know you for your TVDU Kol fic and it’s one of my favourites because it was my first Kol M/oc fic and inspired me very much to write my own. Anyways, I know how problematic Nate is and try my hardest to separate the actor from that character, so in the future I’m hoping for you to publish it again. But I just wanted to let you know I think your writing is absolutely beautiful and I hope you have a good week!

Hey, Aphrdite. How are you? I hope you're doing okay. I was just wondering why I couldn't find your story The Perfect Match. I really enjoyed reading it, but I haven't had the time to continue it before because school stuff, but now I'm back. And I'm ready to reread it again

@kleejunq Thanks! I really appreciate all the votes and comments you left. It's the only thing that keeps me finish the story ^^

I absolutely adore your book always and forever!! Isabella and Kol are just perfect I was wondering if there will be a second book?

When no one left a comment in my story, I took that as a sign that no one cared about it. So I thought: why bother updating? Nobody cares anyway. That's why sometimes I decided to stop updating and even discontinued some fics no matter how much I loved writing it.

@jewellover14 Thanks for saying this, it means a lot to me! All I want to know is if anyone care about the story, that's all. It helps me get going knowing that there are people waiting for it <3

@mistyhydrangea Thanks for taking the time for saying this, it means a lot to me especially coming from a big author like you. I've seen your l&c fic too, but I haven't had time to read it. It looks amazing tho, I'll be sure to read it after I finish my fic (I'm afraid if I read another Lockwood/OC fic when I'm writing one too, I'm going to lose the feel for my Lockwood/OC couple. I can't afford to lose it mid-book) xD And yes, I'm planning to continue my book. Act three is coming right up

If I'm being honest, the only reason I write is because I have too many ideas. I want to know what others think of my ideas, so I try to put them into stories. But lately, it's been really hard to get that. I'm not asking for anything; just other's opinions on my story. I'm always excited to publish a chapter because I can't wait to hear what other people think about it, but I always end up disappointed again and again. Should I stop?
ButterflyEclipsa
@aphrdite_ It’s totally understandable that you wouldn’t want to waste time with something that isn’t productive to you.

@ButterflyEclipsa I'm sorry, but that book has exsited since 2022. It's been three years, and I always thought 'give it time' everytime I posted a chapter and got no response. But enough is enough. I don't have that much free time anymore now that I'm a working mom with a one year old son. So yeah, I'm really give up on that book. I don't want to waste my time into something that no one cared about.

NO, perseverance Is the key towards success.
My mom always used to tell me that: “Even if you don’t succeed the first time, you keep going on and you keep trying. Firstly, because you might do something great, or even greater than all your last attempts. Secondly, if you have a dream, an aspiration or anything, you should try with alla yourself to reach your goal.”
If writing makes you feel good, and it should satisfy you first, then the others. Then I think that you should continue writing. Moreover, I love your stories, especially “Project Hope”. You write so good that you captivate me. And if you ask me that’s what a good book should do! <3

Hey Aphrdite
Just finished reading The Perfect Match, and I’ve got to say — it completely pulled me in. The chemistry between the two leads feels electric yet broken most humanly. I love how you balanced charm and trauma without losing that emotional punch.
I actually do beta reading and help authors fine-tune pacing, dialogue, and flow while keeping their original style intact. I’d honestly love to help you polish The Perfect Match for an even stronger reader connection. Would you be open to that?
PenwritebyRinola
@aphrdite_ Hey! No worries it’s super easy — you just send me a few chapters, and I’ll read through and share honest feedback on the flow, emotions, and pacing. It helps you see what readers will feel while keeping your style intact Wanna start with a few chapters first?

@PenwritebyRinola Hello! I would love that. But I'm not sure how it works since I never have a beta reader before
