Lola's Café has officially come to an end.
Even though they're just characters I made up in my head, somewhere along the way they stopped feeling fictional to me. They grew into people I genuinely cared about.
Ashlyn learned that choosing yourself isn't selfish, and that vulnerability doesn't make you weak.
Evan found the courage to stop admiring from a distance and finally tell someone how he felt.
Johnny discovered that it's okay to chase what you're passionate about, even if the path isn't straightforward.
Daisy found a place where she belonged—a family she chose instead of one she was born into.
Marie learned that being admired isn't the same as being respected, and that pride can sometimes get in the way of the people we care about.
Even the café itself changed. It started as a bakery, but became a second home for people who needed somewhere safe to laugh, cry, celebrate, or simply exist.
I think... I grew with them too.
Thank you to everyone who laughed, cried, and stayed with these chaotic idiots until the very last page. It means more than you know
