Currently in my clinical pediatrics posting, and I’m realizing just how challenging caring for children can truly be. They exist at the extremes: bursting with energy or completely drained, instantly attached to you or firmly resistant, fully attentive or entirely uninterested. There’s rarely a middle ground.

Seeing how different conditions and diagnoses shape their lives has deepened my respect for parents. The patience, love, and resilience they show while caring for their children, meeting their needs, supporting their growth, and managing their illnesses is extraordinary. It’s far from easy, yet they carry it with remarkable strength.

Moments like these make me grateful for my course and my profession. They remind me of the privilege it is to be entrusted with people’s health, and the blessing of being able to make a difference, especially in the lives of these little ones.

@BigNChonky haha! This is so relatable. These cute little beings they are, innocent and sweet. They exhaust you, but at the same time makes you smile. :)

@dinoneverbow99 Ah, that's such a sweet memory! Kids indeed leave an impact on you, within such a short time.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful memory with me. It really means a lot! :D

@Strawberry1713 Oh, good luck with your studies! Medicine is definitely hard, saying from my experience dealing with almost a similar syllabus. Second year is actually the toughest in our curriculum with all these medical subjects. It's hard to catch a breather, but I hope you take care of yourself as well.

But in the end, as you said, it's all definitely worth it.
