Just a northern girl living in a midwest world.  Originally from the last frontier, I'm a teacher in the midwest.  I live in a pretty conservative area, thus the pen name.  

I love to travel, read, and snuggle with my dogs.  Yes, I'm the kind of person who might cross the street if there's a dog coming the other way, just in case it wants me to pet it!

I'm inspired by the strong women in my family and the fantastic female relationships I have.  There was a lot I had to overcome growing up and I always joke that my family puts the 'fun' in dysfunctional.  I don't regret any of it, because it helped me to realized the importance of BEING YOUR OWN HERO.
