Tskhrgridj I got braces a few days ago (like I switched teeth late so that's why there this late) and they hurt my tongue, idk what dentist thought it was a food idea to also place some of those metal things on the inside but I would sure like to have a talk with them bc I can't even speak properly without it scarring my tongue and it's gonna take weeks for me to be able to go back and say something about it

@are-you_sorrY Sorry, not trying to scare you over the wire or anything, just trying to help. Sometimes they don't cut it short enough and it's best to let them know if they haven't before you leave or the next time you see them and they should cut it even shorter during the next visit. Not many knew you could just tell them and they shorten the wire at the end, it's because they won't know if it's short enough until after you close your mouth and the wire catches your cheek

@are-you_sorrY It takes a bit of time to get use to them, I was the same but you'll suddenly wake up one morning and have no issue with them. My mouth was too small for all my teeth so they had to pull out a lot before giving me braces and it hurt for a bit. But after a week, I could speak like normal again and found no issue with them unless I went to lick my teeth without thinking and caught them. The worse you'll have for pain is if the metal wire breaks at the end and digs into your cheek.
