i'm a hardcore selena stan, i love that girl, but rare.... it's meh. it feels like an album that was made quickly, not one that took 4 years. i've listened to the songs (more than once) and there's not one that really stands out to me. the lyrics are good, but the production throws me off.... and the vocals... it all sounds the same. i truly like revival more (obvi, there are a few songs that i skip on there too). the beats, some of the chorus' could've been done better. i know that's she's happy. that has nothing to do with my reaction to this album. she's grown as an artist, but she still has such a long way to go. i wish there was something completely different... i'm getting bad liar vibes and i hate that song. i just wish her next album takes a different approach/direction. regardless, i know some fans will eat it up and that's okay.... but, c'mon, it's not the greatest album of all time or greatest album to exist. praising selena while bashing other artists is so stupid... she's a completely different genre/singer. i love her, i'm happy for all the success she will gain from this album, but it's just not for me. i was expecting too much, it's very underwhelming, and i'm a little bummed by it. the only song i really care for his her ballad, LYTLM.
anywho, my rating: 6/10.
i'm hoping i can relate/like her next album so much more.
