I have posted a review request link via StoryOrigin, a free site that connects reviewers and authors looking for reviewers. You can find all the book's info there, see a two chapter sample, and apply to be a reviewer. The link is below for interested parties! The process and signing up for an account with the site is entirely FREE, and you will be able to download a free MOBI, EPUB, or PDF version of the book once I approve you to review.

Is anyone interested in reading a free ebook copy of Trader Prince of Aleshtain? The first chapter is up on here for your review, and if it looks interesting, please get in touch. I'm looking for people who will read it by Christmas and post a review on Amazon in exchange for the free copy. If you can't finish it by Christmas, I'm flexible on the date so long as you post on the date promised. Feel free to PM me for more details or post a reply to let me know you want to help out! Reviews are a big deal for authors because Amazon's algorithms won't kick in to help us sell books until we receive at least 50 reviews on any given Amazon site. I prefer reviewers review on the US site, but if you can't, let me know which Amazon site you can review on so I know where to look for it. Thanks!

The first chapter of the second book in The Legends of Alcardia series is out! I won't be posting the entire book. This is just an advanced preview to give you all an idea of what I've been up to and a sneak peek at the book before I put it up for pre-order later this summer or early fall. The goal is to have it out and in the hands of readers by December at the latest.

          Both books in the series will be getting completely new covers, but for now, I've got the cover originally made for the book. I'm having the designer who did these covers redo them with a fresher, more modern style for the release of book two. Once I have the cover and we're closer to the pre-order date, I'll be doing a cover reveal event of some sort. For now, enjoy the first chapter, and I'm off to edit further chapters in the book in preparation for release day! :)

This a bit of a late message, but I'm done with my ONC novella! It's entirely edited and hs been submitted for the last round. Wish me luck! There are a lot of good writers in this year's contest.

          In other news, I submitted Pathway of the Moon to the Wattys mentorship program. I won't know if I got a mentor though until later on this month, I believe. Very nervewracking to wait!

@MichaelHoliday What's the worst that could happen? You're rejected? I mean, unless you think you're not going to be able to keep up with the work over the summer, there's no good reason not to give it a shot, right? :) Plus, they've got some very good mentors based on the profiles and their credentials.

Good luck!

            I'm on the fence on the mentorship program. My novel is ready but I don't know if I'll throw my hat in.

When All Else Fails is now complete! It's at 39,764 words (just under the max allowed for ONC), and while it has some edits to undergo from chapters 6-13, the story is finished, for now. For those of you wondering what happens (because I know you are), I've got book 2 in the works. It's already mostly planned (by that, I mean I have the one-sentence and one-page summaries, my cast of characters mostly assembled, and am working on the basic scene list). I'll begin working on that soon. I'm thinking about postponing the release date for the second book in the Legends of Alcardia series to make time to finish book 2 of this series, but we'll see what happens.

Congratulations!

And I am down to the last 2000 words in my ONC novella before I have to wrap it up. I went from around 10K end of February to nearly 40K here at the beginning of April. 30K in about a month is pretty good, so I'm happy with it. I think the ending's going to knock it out of the park too. I hope so anyway! But once the writing's done, it's down to editing, and that's the really tough part.

@MichaelHoliday Fortunately I think I can wind it up in that time frame. Lol.

@ariel_paiement1 Yezzzzz! 2K left? You SO got this!
            30K in a month is more than pretty good. Nice going!

Hey guys! Do you like science-fantasy? If so, consider taking a peek at @KellyJBurke's book Roadkill Vol 1. He had an unfortunate mishap where the book was deleted, and he lost all of his votes, comments, and so on. Help him out if you like what you see and leave him a vote or a comment as you read! I've worked with Kelly before as he's part of the TWE critique group, and I can vouch that his writing's good. If you like the genre, I doubt you'll be disappointed!

@ariel_paiement1 This is happening!

            Yes, take it from me, RoadKill v1 is an exciting read!
            Burke is a wordsmith and a masterful storyteller.

Chapters 2-4 are now edited and submitted for my ONC novel's 8K on milestone 2 of the contest. And through editing them, I've managed to gain myself about 2,000 back in word count... Not much, really, but every bit that tightens things up so I can stay in the 20-40K range required helps me to give this an ending it deserves while keeping it a novella.
