I hate how being good at art is like an introvert and weird-person kind of thing— or it is at my school/area. The shy kids are all artistic but I'm not shy anc I'm good at art, so whenever we have drawing stuff for homework i just tone it down cause I don't want people to think i'm trying to stand out you know?

Hey! It’s been a while! How are you?

thank you school for all the trauma— i have a lot to write about for my college essays now (aka struggling with cultural identity in the u.s)

Would your rather have a friend who is supportive no matter what in any situation, or one that is truthful.
For ex: If you ask what dress they like on you and the supportive friend says you look good on all of them and chooses one or the truthful one who insists half of them make you look like a cow.
Another example would be that the supportive friend would go EEEEEE when you a toxic guy gave you attention, while the truthful friend would insist you stay away from them.
Sage-Writes
@arrow_narcissus1 Probably a mix of both because for the first example, I would say supportive, but for the second, I would say truthful. So really, I think the best friend is a friend who supports you in all ways possible but wants to make sure that you’re the happiest and drama-free that you can be :)

is having a class rank 3/807 good or bad for getting into an IVY? cause I don't know if its conisdered a big class yk
Benjibud
@arrow_narcissus1 I would say that’s fantastic. All Ivy’s do expect very high grades, but I’ve read that they also want a diverse student. That means one who has not only good grades, but volunteers, plays a sport, does something creative, perhaps plays an instrument, and just in general to have many skills. I’ve also heard they tend to take people who have unique skills, as my friend had a friend that got into Cornell because she played a unique instrument.

If you're— lets say Mexican, and strongly loath ICE, would you be mad at or not be friends with your friend who supports it? They don't make it their whole personality but lets say you know they don't agree with you.
I don't think it's a problem personally— different opinions shouldn't come between relationships
Benjibud
@arrow_narcissus1 Thats a hard question. Personally, I would find it difficult to continue being good friends with that person. I think some opinions should not come between friendships, but it’s all completely situational. If that other person has other serious opinions, I would seriously try to help them reconsider their viewpoint. My own grandfather has such opinions, but it does not mean I love him any less. I just wish we could be on the same page, as sometimes it can make the relationship more tense.
