"Oppenheimer" is an incredibly beautiful picture that you can look at forever without ever taking your eyes off. All the scenes in the film are like a separate art, and in IMAX it is simply unforgettable. The techniques that Christopher Nolan used with black-and-white and color films to indicate timelines and events taking place in it make it clear that the narrative is non-linear, and how well and not boringly it is presented.
The plot of the film is taken from the 2005 book "American Prometheus" - which is the autobiography of the famous physicist. Christopher Nolan was given the task of making a film about Oppenheimer's life, political cabinet intrigue, and the testing and construction of the atomic bomb. All this, it was necessary to remove not boring, stylish and exciting.
Nolan definitely did it.
The film doesn't feel like a boring armchair affair, it's an action-packed blockbuster that doesn't feel boring at all, doesn't feel stretched out or out of place. The film, as I said above, can be watched without getting tired for at least an eternity. This was largely achieved with the help of the beautiful picture of the film, the nonlinearity of the narrative, the story of Robert Oppenheimer himself, as well as the stellar cast.
For me, the film is one of the best of Christopher Nolan's career. In this film, he was able to fully open up, showing that even after the unsuccessful "Tenet" he can make something that will not be forgotten for a long time and that can win the Oscar race.
The film is incredibly beautiful.
