The first time I watched 'Avengers', I was sitting in theatre and stared mesmerised as Loki came out of the portal, those venomous bright blue eyes matching perfectly that wicked grin. Something flipped inside me. I immediately knew he wasn't right. I noticed his struggle to walk, his exhaustion, the thin layer of sweat on his forehead, the dark shadows under his eyes. He also bent over double just after brainwashing Clint and Selvig. I could tell he was tortured since then, long before this became a canon. I knew the villain was made, not born. I started to be a fan. I believed in him, trusted he had somehow to go through a growing arch to show his true colours. Despite the tragic end and the heartbreaking knowledge he deserved much, much better, I was right. And I am still a fan.
