“was the summon quite necessary? you could have stopped by my room, or the library. you know that i am almost always in one or the other.” her gaze did not find her father’s, but instead remained on the floor in front of him. how was she to look him in the eyes when she nearly killed him on numerous occasions, all because she didn’t feel as loved as thor had? when he had nearly killed her own mother?

"Because in such a place, you would have chosen to ignore me, or to hide. This ensures you couldn't do either." Sure, Odin could have done what his daughter had suggest but he also knew how stubborn Loki could truly be. This was the quickest and easiest way to eliminate any possibility of the other goddess pulling a disappearing act.

IS IT MAGIC OR SCIENCE? I’VE HEARD IT ALL THREE WAYS, AND I DON’T QUITE TRUST FREYR’S WORDS. DON’T TELL HIM THAT, THOUGH.

⠀⠀ jemma didn’t know quite what to say, but she wrote all of it down with speed that made her hand hurt. “let me get this straight—- daisy is twenty-six years old, and freyr is so much older than that? talk about an age gap romance.” with a hint of amusement in her words, she shook her head and closed her eyes. “so, how do you feel about your people getting together with humans? you live forever, or at least until ragnarok, but we will wither away faster than you. they know that their relationships will end with heartbreak, and yet they continue to couple up. why?”

Not in the same sense... * it had been a long time since he had spoken of any of this * I am old, very old, despite what I may look like. Most of the Aesir and Vanir are older than you would imagine, including Freyr. We could age, and have done once, though none of us will die until Ragnarok. They stole the Golden Apples once, the key to our eternal youth, one would say.

your brothers didn’t have any interest in creating life? [she moved forward to rest her elbow on the table and her chin on her palm, curious to know more and forgetting about the notebook on the table.] why were you interested in life while they weren’t? ..that makes you incredibly old, and yet you don’t look a day over forty. how is that possible? do you guys not age after a certain point, or do you just have incredibly long lifespans?
