WINTER CONCERT 2025 DOWNNNNNNN. after 9+ hours of wearing high heels in thirty degrees weather, several hard mozart pieces and a billy joel closing I am FINALLY on my way home. Learned a lot about things I want to be done differently but chorus inherently has such a special place in my heart and I'm feeling very very thankful. I hope this year has been off to an incredible start for you all. Lots of love!

@novelistASH Hmm that's interesting!! Definitely planning to keep in mind as I read! Kafka is SUCH a talented writer. The Metamorphosis made me so, like, sad when I first read it haha. Shine is a fun and interesting book but it's pretty catty and might be a bit immature haha! The writer was under fire for being so broad about what was inspired from truth and what was fiction and led to a lot of allegations of defamation and hate towards her former members — especially since a lot of them had active NDAs — which might've been unfair accusations. So yeah!

@ashbytheisle Without getting too into the weeds, "Where the Crawdads Sing" felt heavy handed and there wasn't enough plot for me. I'm not against theme heavy voice but their observations weren't that interesting. I don't know, I've changed a lot as a reader lately. Maybe I would like it now. I love "The Metamorphosis"! I practically have to fight off the urge to write my own version every year! "Shine" sounds so good!!! I gotta pick up a copy.
