Here is where I write when I'm feeling something particularly profound or when I wish to attempt to create something . Although everything I write has dark themes running throughout, that shouldn't discourage you from reading and critiquing what I write - I genuinely want to learn and grow as an author and I'm proud of everything I create. Please therefore vote, share and comment your genuine thoughts - when I write a story I'm not the only one who shapes it, stylistically and conceptually, due to the nature of posting by chapter on here your critique shapes my stories as well.
In terms of who I am personally, I'm an 18 year old man living in the UK. I've just finished my A levels and I'm hoping, if all goes well, to study philosophy at Cambridge university. I've had an interest in literature since I was young and I have a particular fondness for classical literature. Personally, I prefer if I learn something from a book rather than just reading out of interest, whether it be moral lessons or some sort of metaphysical/philosophical assertion about life itself. Although a picture paints a thousand words, a thousand well crafted words can beat any picture.
Literary wise, my influences are relatively diverse - the old testament of the bible, ancient mythology, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Lev Tolstoy, Friedrich Nietzshce, Plato, Socrates, CS Lewis (The Chronicles of Narnia was my first favorite series when I read them over a decade ago - it's a pity the films never lived up to expectation) and Albert Camus. My favorite book is The Brothers Karamazov.
I hope you gain something from my work and I encourage you to critique, criticize and communicate with me on my work. I will always respond to PMs and hopefully comments too.
