For a person who loves to write I will be the first to say that I am terrible when it comes to writing about myself. I'm a pop culture and news junkie who enjoys reading, video games, and horror movies. I've been on a speculative fiction kick for the past few years, but enjoy a variety of genres.

I told my parents I wanted to be a writer when I was in first grade. While they  supplied me with notebooks and pencils I know they got a good chuckle out of my weird little seven-year-old attempts at writing short stories. When an elementary school teacher noted that some of my pieces reminded her, structurally, of Mark Twain it was slightly less humorous. 

I pursued writing throughout my education in creative writing, journalism, screenwriting, and of course, standard academic papers. Later, I took up blogging for a number of years. Once I gave up blogging I grew immediately restless and began planning projects and stories that never came to fruition... I'm hoping to change that sooner, rather than later.
