@satvrnssvnflower  It’s sort of associated with attention, the full audio is like these fan girls yelling “shake yo dreads!” And there’s a man saying “Ladies, ladies…. Leave me alone type shift” so I think it’s usually positive but here in this context it’s more like dickriding, bare minimum and the most reaction

Ugh Junior year was the WORST for me istg. I’m in my senior (cause I started school early and ya girl graduates younger than most <33).
            
            I have like a chapter that’s so long and ready to publish but it’s in the MIDDLE of an episode so I’m gonna try to finish that episode cause I like doing one or more FINISHED episodes per chapter depending on length. 
            
            Oh my God I’m sorry I keep forgetting I have that, I literally only log on like once a month (and It’s usually only for a few minutes meaning I never have the time to commit to reading) and honestly it’s usually to change my theme or because I have a rare time to write.
            
            Okay that means I REALLY need to finish this seasons writing before that comes out  (otherwise I’m gonna be so swamped ffs). I actually am excited for it just because that’ll give me more reason to write for Elvira snd maybe I’ll actually, Yknow…do it (fingers crossed bby life is harddd)

Oh, hello! I’ve been good, I guess? Life is kinda crazy, I’m in my Junior year of high school and my god, it’s not been fun. And yeah, new theme for Halloween and Deadpool is cool. I still haven’t written anything new lately. But, there’s still that newish chapter of Sacrifice that you still haven’t read yet if you want to check that out. I can’t believe season 4 of Chaos Theory is in a MONTH, I’m not excited for it but I’m sure Elvira will have fun. Thanks for checking in and I hope you get your issue sorted out :)

You know I’m pretty indifferent about Chaos Theory….  So, while I saw the trailer dropped, I didn’t watch it no.  But, I’m still going to watch season three just to see how the catastrophe ends.

            you’re literally the best ash tysm <33. It’s not too much at all it rlly rlly helps! I’ve already got some ideas for later on for her but I needed to get her meeting the team/her opinions, etc and I can finally acc picture the scene in my head and I started writing with the ideas you just gave me already ANDDD it’s flowing MUCH,UCHMUCH better, so HOPEFULLY chapter by the end of this week :))

Mainly- Your question is- What do you want from this scene? Are we establishing new relationships or establishing her new life? The relationships can come later in the game. 
            Also maybe ask these questions too:
            Is she intimidated by Morgan?
            Does she immediately respond to Hotch’s/Gideon’s assertions and commands?
            Is she annoyed or taken aback by Reid’s knowledge? (Most new agents are annoyed/somewhat impressed)
            Does something maternal come up when she interacts with JJ?
            Does she get along with Elle because her sarcasm reminds her of Yaz?
            Does she think that Penelope is efficient in what she does despite her playful words and actions?
            Does her trauma impact the way she interacts with all of them? 
            I apologize if this is a LOT to think about, but these questions are meant to get those gears turning! I, personally, imagine Elvira being proud of herself and eager to go to work, she wants to make a good impression and friendly interactions but then the nature of the case might hit too close to home right off the bat which might make her a little less responsive so she could be snappy or jumpy.
            
            You could start the chapter off however you want, all CM episodes start with the Unsub doing the dirty work so you could start with that too- But then transition to Elvira’s first day, her morning routine leading up to the BAU, and with her luck- Interactions will be cut short because of a case. And then flow will come once they’re en route to wherever they’re going and whoever she gets paired up with to go to the crime scene or the morgue. Just things like that. 
            Again, I know this was a lot, but I hope this was helpful!

No botherance taken! I think what you should do is ask yourself- What do you want from this scene? She’s excited to join the BAU- But is she ready to establish new relationships? Who’s the first person she meets? Is it JJ or Garcia? Or does she meet with Gideon/Hotch? (not sure what season she’s put into first so) If she meets with JJ or Garcia first, one vibe will be more professional than the other (no offense Penelope) and she’ll probably either A) Get paraded around to meet everyone else or B) Get more professionally introduced to the team if she meets with JJ or Gideon/Hotch first or C) Meets get interrupted by a case and they learn about her based on her interactions in the field, with the victims and the nature of the Unsub. Then, you have to think about Elvira and her traumas— Does she even want to establish relationships deeper than just coworkers? Obviously they’re the BAU family but Elvira has already gone through the found family trope with the campers and as of now, they’re pretty distant/rarely talk, so even if she does have mostly friendly interactions with those at Quantico- Does she agree when they ask her to go get drinks after a successful case or does she give an excuse and say she’ll see them tomorrow?
            
            For this chapter, I think you’ll need to focus on Elvira’s inner monologue, like when she gets introduced to Garcia- Does she get reminded of Sammy, does she feel naturally comforted, does she get a boost of serotonin from her bright outfits?  And you have to think- It’s her very first day- She has to make a good impression, her responses could be forced or automated and maybe she could have an interaction with someone on the team who tells her to “loosen up” in like a caring way, maybe like Morgan will tell her that “You can’t catch an Unsub when you’re as bound up as they are right now.” or something like that.

Okay, cool!! Glad you’re happy with it. I can’t wait to get back into her story and hopefully resume writing my own too, soon! 

Also I wanted to take Peter and May out of the picture when I was writing Ikigai (because they weren’t original and it seemed unnecessary) but then I realized that it seemed unfair to have Elvira deal with all of this shit and not have ANYONE to care for her, so…that’s why they stayed, I kinda wish I changed their names and made them original charachters tho :/

@ashykn3ecaps idk, maybe I’ll just write a new OC so I can still write for B99, but I like give Elvira a small, very small (like stan lees cameos in marvel!) cameo? Idk! I have so many ideas, but I should probably leave Elvira to the criminal minds and camp cretaceous fam because i already have so much other stuff planned for Ikigai, and “changes”, so it really would be way too much to put her in a NEW fic

@ashykn3ecaps not mean at all! Def some realization I needed so thank you! I probs won’t be doing any post-college stuff if it’s not with th b99 just because I don’t feel like I’d be interested/it’d be interesting to see her interact with just complete strangers for just overall unescary scenes like that, BUT I guess that kinda serves as a good point because if I did write her w the b99, it’d be complete strangers for you, just as writing original charachters and original scenes would be complete strangers for me, and that’s what I wanna avoid, so, basically, thank you for the realization! I might add a few flashback scenes into Ikigai, so like we’d still see her getting those small interactions and building her character, but it wouldn’t feel boring like it would if I wrote an entire book centered on it
