hi wattpad, it has been a while (more than a year, oh my)! you may know me as the author of daughter of ashes and starfyre, among other stories. i most likely will not be posting my work on here anymore, save for an occasional snippet, but i thought i’d update you all with what i’ve been up to.
          	•  university and work are kicking my ass but it has been a blast nonetheless—i’m studying cognitive science with a specialization in design!
          	•  i’m currently writing my first draft (technically second, but my first draft was what i call a “zero-th draft”) of a high fantasy inspired by the events imperial china, featuring an antiheroine with a thirst for vengeance and a friends to lovers to enemies arc.
          	•  i’m glad to say that my writing style has improved quite a bit since my previous wattpad days, but i’m still working towards more consistency in my writing.

hi everyone! i’m sort of back on wattpad...school and finals and life has been quite crazy! anyway, where i was trying to go with daughter of ashes was a bit of a dead end, so i’ve rewritten a lot of it in these past few months. it’s definitely not the same story anymore, though some of the characters’ personalities are similar! i’ll be working on most of this offline, but i might consider publishing it on here if it goes well.

guess who’s inspired to write again?!?! 
          
          it’s not a great time to start having a vivid imagination again because it’s right before midterms, but i’ll just write everything out and post during thanksgiving break.
          
          i need to rewrite a lot of Daughter of Ashes because  the characters aren’t developed very well. any other suggestions to improve?

@lavenderstar Oh that's a great tip! Thank you! Honestly, I'm so busy, I have so many ideas but I don't have time to get them down on paper! One day. One day I'll do it.

@Nyghtfyre_Stars Yayyy I'm so glad!! Even if it's not ideal you should go for it! I need to get back to writing too but switching jobs is tough haha. As for tips, comparing the beginning of your story to the latest chapters always helps me because usually at the beginning I have the strongest idea of what I wanted my characters to be, but as I continue to write the story their personalities sometimes get set aside for the sake of the plot.

hey everyone! I'm very sorry for not being active or uploading anything...these past few months have been very busy for me. I'll try to set out time for writing. There's a chapter of DoA written out but it's in a rough, rough draft format that I'm not happy with enough to publish on here. I'll try and find the time to polish it and upload it sometime... thanks for being patient!

Hello Daughter of Ashes readers! I will be taking down the book and reposting each chapter with the (slightly) newly edited chapters (I only changed some plot and character stuff, it's not a thorough grammar/spelling/etc. edited version). I apologize in advance if you get a spam of notifications saying I updated each chapter...speaking of which, if you can, take some time to read the new versions and catch the changes, as future chapters will be written in the same way (medieval instead of more modernized, etc.).
