Also, I hope people pick up fantasy, horror and sci-fi books from on here to make into movies and shows. They mainly seem to be doing teen flicks which is fine but i’ve always enjoyed those more and they’ve always been so unique and beautifully written.
Imagine my surprise coming back on Wattpad after so long and seeing so many lgbt books (that arent fanfics) being promoted. It makes me so happy that Wattpad stepped up their game when it comes to that aspect of diversity and more people feel comfortable and open with writing lgbt main characters for stories!
it makes me kinda sad the way wattpad fell off because the concept of it; an app that allows people to write whatever they want, is such an amazing idea and i’ll forever be thankful for this app for the things it’s done for my love for reading & writing but of course, capitalism ruins everything and now wattpad is seen as a money hungry joke to the general public
The problem with Wattpad is also the fact that it’s search engine is literal crap. That’s probably why people (includning me) prefer ao3
i saw this in my notifs since im still somewhat active talking to my very little amount of friends that r still on here and so true :/ it used to be so much more fun and ppl were way more active. i used to be here every hour of everyday not even reading but just interacting w friends and i rmbr tag posts and stuff. i rlly hope someday it'll be revived again. im 17 atm but it was such a huge part of my early teens
