the champagne slit of aching reverence thirsts for touch, hold his hands.. intertwine to the bases, he will love you forever. he was easy like that. 

soft and gentle even when his sinews were slipt for the audience in their theatre, his neck resting in the palms of their hands.. pushing, pleading, begging, pulling, rounding. he was like a lamb in a stockyard like that.. he was the Judas leading himself to the slaughter. 

he was a liar like that, always pulling forgiveness from the fragments of prayer even though it carved and gouged at his hands like a starved beast. fingers curled at the throat of sorrow, sleep heavy brow shows hes tougher than leather, and the strange inhumane faith in destiny that meets at his rib. at his worst, i fear. all bristle and bark. he was a dog like that, not knowing how to be touched without his canines bared, ears back, pulse so heavy. he isn't violent, just doesn't know better. this haunting started with hunger, bored and birthed by his own bloodied knuckles.
