The narrative revolves around a young woman who has always admired Fang from a distance - he's calm, enigmatic, and lives in the background of any interaction, as though he walks through the shadows. One fateful day, she unwittingly gets involved in one of Fang's clandestine missions - she may notice something that perhaps she shouldn't have or help him evade risk. 
            
            It is from this moment that their lives begin to intertwine. She begins to find out about Fang's secret world - and twisted there are people, risks, mysteries, and duties - as danger ensues, she commits to brave the world that Fang offers. Initially, Fang tries to help by keeping her as far from him as possible because he believes it is more protective; however, through it, he slowly discovers someone who can understand him more than anyone else could. 
            
            The story contains action, emotional instability, and quiet moments - it is about two people who are from worlds that could not be more different who are each other's light. The girl leads Fang into rediscovering parts he locked away, while Fang, on the other hand, helps the young woman see how the shadows can be beautiful as well. 
            
            It is romantic; however, it is layered with emotional concepts - suggesting that love can exist, even if life is dark.  I hope this helps you :D
