I am tired of the HOTD LEAKS already. IN MY OPINION the entire show is worse than the last few seasons of GOT. Book Rhaenyra would've rather DIED than have Alicent closely to her or even as a thought. And you're telling me she now has a place on Show Rhaenyra's council?? Ryan Condal and Sarah Hess, the worst directors and making their own fanfiction out of wonderful book material.
While I'm not against representation, you're telling me they replaced the Rhaenyra x Laena potential story plots (as it was rumored in the books) with freaking Rhaenyra x Alicent? You're telling me, Rhaenyra willingly "kisses" the very person who made her life hell?? Who has threatened her children and their positions various of times? The Asoiaf fandom are known for crack ships and ships that are out put, but Rhaenyra and Alicent is one of the few I cannot understand. MY OPINION OF COURSE. You enjoy what you enjoy.
At this point I wish they can give HOTD budget to AKOTSK, a show that's sticking to the book material and making a wonderful show in the process. For the HOTD the actors/actresses are phenomenal and are accurate to the books, but I feel sorry for them as their scripts are written horribly. It's not their fault, it's the fault of the writers and showrunners.
@M5sherman While to a certain extent yes, but all of what's been happening in season 2 and now what will be happening in season 3. None of that happens in the book, or is mentioned by the maesters in their versions of the dance, no matter what side they were on. Even the rumors or the inaccuracies of their legends, have canons. And almost more than half season 3 already, is not cannon in the books at all.
@athenswp isn't the show meant to be canon and everything in the book is kinda legends since an Archmaester writes it using unreliable sources?
@Ilyes955 Yes, I feel bad for the entire cast because they fit their roles perfectly. It's not their fault that the writers and directors are doing a horrible job, that's why I'm not surprised George Martin said he hated this show and it was no longer his story. BECAUSE IT'S SO NOTICEABLE, it's not his work!!!

AKOTSK: OH Maekar. How I wish you'd never have the trauma and guilt, Baelor's death wasn't the entity of your fault. You did it to protect your son (who doesn't deserve it) in the end.
"The realm will say I meant to kill my brother. But the god's know it is a lie, and I will hear their whispers till the day I die." GIVE MAEKAR BACK HIS OLDER BROTHER. GIVE BAELOR BACK TO HIM, THE ONLY PERSON HE LOVED MORE THAN ANYTHING.
(But I also loved they used the book accurate line in the episode).
As I book reader I was emotionally prepared, but I wasn't mentally ready to see it on my screen.
The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, you will have my heart as a show. Better than House of the Dragon Season 2 and perhaps Season 3. Better than Game of Thrones Season 7 and Season 8.
The fact that we won't see these versions of Valarr, Aerion, or Daeron again next season (maybe) is a loss.
