          	  Gwayne should already be dead, and they have exceeded in the "new" Daeron to Hightower plotline. Rhaena loved being a lady, and she loved her brothers.  And the day I see Criston Cole die on-screen, shall be the day I cheer and drink in celebration.

@athenswp Yes, I'm so mad that they had Rhaena (a lady who canonically loved living lavishly and being pampered) looking crazy! The whole Daeron and Hightower plotline is such a bore in my opinion, I'm sick of them. I still don't understand the reason for keeping Gwayne, someone who is dead by this point, alive and at Harrenhall with criston? Gwayne and Criston better die together or something, because when they finally kill Criston I'm going to be jumping with joy.

          2. ANOTHER THING THE SHOW WRITERS RUINED IN THIS STUPID ASS SHOW. CORLYS, THE MAN WHO OUTRIGHT DEFENDED JACAERYS, LUCERYS, AND JOFFERY WITH HIS LIFE IN THE BOOK. NOW HE'S CALLING THEM BASTARDS? AND SAYING HIS "SONS" SHOULD GET WHAT THEY WERE DENIED. AS IF HE DIDNT CHEAT ON RHAENYS (IN THE SHOW) AND HER KNOWING ABOUT IT. I UNDERSTAND JOFFREY IS NOT HIS BLOOD, ( even if the books he does petition for Addam and Alyn to be his heirs, but there he does it simply and courtly unlike in the show). BUT TO CALL HIM A BASTARD IN HIS MOTHER'S—YOUR QUEEN'S FACE. IS BOLD. AND NOT WHAT BOOK!CORLYS DID. BUT AGAIN, THIS SHOW IS KNOWN FOR NOT STICKING TO ACCURACY.

@fulltimeangel Yes exactly! As much as I hate Alicent, her character was much better in the books. At least she was malicious because she wanted, but now all the things that made her Alicent, is being given to other characters in the show. And Corlys in the book never called the boys bastards in the book, so I see it as stupid that they made him in the show. They just want to push it to where Corlys has more option to "switch sides" like he does in the books.

Alicents personality to everyone, BUT HERSELF. The whole fake Daeron plotline is such a bore and them doing all that for a nothing burger character...

          1. My girl Rhaenyra did not deserve to see her son brought to her dead. The way she was talking to him in denial, hoping he was just injured. The way she cradled him in her arms and cried mourning him. I wasn't ready. 
          
          2. I hope Emma gets an Emmy for their acting. They were phenomenal. 
          
          3. I hate Aemond, but my old girl Vhagar is loved seeing in action. Unfortunately. 
          
          4. DAEMON SLAPPING ULF WAS SO SATISFYING THAT MAN IS ANNYONING AS FUCK. 
          
          5. THEY TOOK BACK KINGS LANDING!!! 
          
          6. I hate Alicent so much, it was hilarious of her getting caught. While I do feel some slight of bad for this version of Helaena, I knew she wasn't able to get too far either sadly. 
          
          7. I LOVED THE SCENE WITH THE GOLD CLOAKS, IT WAS FUNNY PEOPLE THOUGHT THEY'D BETRAY THEIR LORD COMMANDER DAEMON. 
          
          8. RHAENYRA KILLING OTTO, SO FREAKING HAPPY RIGHT NOW. I feel for her, it was her first ever kill. 
          
          9. THE TRUE QUEEN SAT ON THE IRON THRONE 
          
          (While the writing and the story of the show is still bothersome, I like that SOME parts from the book was included)

I will say this episode was better than the last. They honestly should have made the battle of the gullet the finale of s2 and have this be the perfect opener for s3 but that’s just me. Thoroughly enjoyed this episode.

          4. My dear Rhaenyra, oh she will now be going mad and everyone will blame it on her. And not on the people who killed her sons, have started a war over misogyny, egotistical men who have small d*cks and are afraid to see a Queen rule. She deserves all the love. And while I hope she doesn't allow Alicent a place at her council (coming from alleged show leaks), I wish that all Rhaenyra's pain doubles and goes to Alicent, Otto, Criston, Aemond, and all the greens. 
          
          5. My sweet Vermax, the best boy there was. Dying while trying to protect his rider. 
          
          6. Oh Nettles, they have stolen your entire storyline and given it to Rhaena who unfortunately couldn't control Sheepstealer. While I wish you were in the show, it was better that you weren't because the stupid show writers would've butchered and ruined your story and character to make others look good and to make others look bad. R.I.P to you. 
          
          7. The only GOOD thing out this damn episode was the arrival of the Winter Wolves. "We've come to die for the dragon queen." Was the only line and scene in this episode and season so far, that was decent. 
          
          8. Jacaerys is now with both his father's, Laenor and Harwin. With is little brother, Lucerys. With his sister, Visenya. And even with Vermax.

@athenswp Yes, most of the changes they made are inconsistent and feel redundant, especially in the case of Alicent and Rhaenyra's dynamic. There is no way that Rhaenyra still trusts Alicent's  judgement after she tormented Rhaenyra and her children for years.  I was willing to let certain "creative" choices slide, but you can really tell that Ryan and Sara think their writing/ideas are better than the original story with all the changes made. The reason akotsk was so well received was because Ira actually stayed true to the story, as well as having George R.R. Martin involved.. unlike HOTD. The acting is the only thing holding up the show because the writing is a mess. The only way to enjoy this show is if you completely remove its ties to the asoiaf universe

@fulltimeangel This show has so many plot holes, inconsistencies, and its just overall bad fucking writing. And it all started with the writers not wanting to do the Evil Step-mother against Step-daughter trope. Aging Alicent's character down was one of the first bad stepping points. There's a lot of people who hate Rhaenyra x Alicent, I am one of them. BUT because their "forbidden lovers" and "lovers" storyline should have belonged to RHAENYRA AND LAENA, as it was rumored in the books. But there are a lot of fans of the show who have not read the books, and they like the Rhaenyra x Alicent storyline. Not understanding why so many of the book readers hate the show, and the two together. I agree, the show is just a bad fucking fanfiction between the horrible writers. I feel bad for the cast because they are wonderful and fit perfectly for their characters. I just wish they could do a redo of the show but with Ira Parker writing the show instead.

Even if the shows has butchered your character and gave all of your qualities that made you a perfect prince and heir, to make other horrible characters look good.
