me when im terrified of making mistakes esp in front of others so i think through everything i wanna say carefully before i say it but then sometimes it takes me too long to figure out the proper phrasing so then it'd be awkward for me to respond anymore

this happens DAILY /gen its so annoying but my brain wont let me speak or text/write without thinking it through first
just thinking about all those "writing tip" posts that go "people don't stutter by repeating the first letter of a word!" and im sitting here like "b-but they do ?? yyou can't just asssume all people stutter the same. like i-i-i-i-its different for everyone." (the extra letters are intentional)
its just that its not USUALLY exaggerated the way people read it. when someone stutters, its quiet. it's not "b-" (pause) "but..." ; you'd barely hear the first 'b'. or its a repeated sound "i-i-i-i-i just.... / i-i-i-i-it's like..." but you dont pause between them. it sounds like a tiny glitch. **this is not the case for every stutter, im giving examples from personal experience. stuttering and stumbling over your words is normal. it happens to me daily**
bonus: my favorite trick for writing dialogue is writing down the line flat, then putting myself in the situation and saying it the way it would actually be said by a real person in that situation and rewriting it accordingly. when writing fanfiction, i take the time to deep-dive into the character and actually get into their mind, which helps a ton (though im also guilty of projecting my own speech patterns onto characters when writing)

ive found this sudden random obsession with watching freo play horror games. i dont know what it is but ive been watching quite a few of his horror streams lately. just as like background noise while i do stuff. like rn im working on a story and im watching one of his horror streams while i write it. maybe its bcs im currently writing a horror story and it helps to have something spooky also playing
i will not give details on that story js yet btw and dont ask me to post it im not sure if i will
do u ever randomly stumble across a creator on yt who makes videos/shorts on something you're not even into but then u keep seeing their videos and it makes u wanna get into that thing? yeah ive been seeing a lot of SpecularDC's shorts for a while now and its making me wanna at least read up on everything there is to know about dc (and batman/batfamily specifically)

@Turtlegod032 ive been REALLY wanting to get what i know as the kenma style (at least the coloring, i wanna grow out my hair) and a few other styles, but hair stylists are expensive (the only woman my mom trusts costs $200 just for highlights) so its not in the cards for us rn </3
