you must be octavian, my brothers spoken of you before.

I’m aware, and my brother will be careful. [ cassander treads carefully with his words, already playing that trickery game octavian loves to delight in. he wanted more than what he already knew, he wanted to be able to map out the future years in time on his desk and sketch the days himself. cassander pulled at his fingers, he loathed absences of knowledge. ]
but can we know anything else?

[ the prophecy of the seven... one of the only prophecies saved from the sibylline books when they were lost in a fire. sigh. it was gutting to think about... oh well. octavian went to stand where it was engraved on the floor of the temple, peering down at it with pale blue eyes. ] everyone who's tried to interpret this prophecy has ended up dead, you know! [ he smiled at that, oddly. ] i can say for sure that there will be blood shed.. but who's? [ a slight shrug was given. ] i think your brother should be careful, regardless! for his own sake.

i’m aware it involves my brother, and it requires some means of blood to be spilt. [ cassander admits, possibly too quickly after octavian asks. he should reign himself in, control his thoughts and morph them into acceptable words. alas, his mind grows hazy in the absence of his only family, and he fears he never really had any margin for patience. ] it has already taken him, what more does it intend to do?

it's okay to admit when you're wrong, rachel elizabeth dare! no one will hold it against you, i'm sure. isn't more honorable to own up to your mistakes anyways?

/toddler/?! says the one who can't understand any reasoning... even when it's right in front of her face. [ dramatic sigh. ]

ARE YOU FINISHED? I never asked for your criticism on this Octavian. It’s happening whether you care for it too or not.

[ (graecus scum...) must they all be so hard headed and stupid? percy jackson was one of the worst. refusing to listen to his /perfectly good reasoning/. a loud, dramatic sigh left the augur and then octavian rolled his pale eyes. he wasn't going to bother anymore. he didn't care enough to. especially not about this son of poseidon. in seconds, his tune changed and he came a bit closer. just a bit. enough to lean in and grin. to show off his teeth. there was almost something cruel about it. ] in that case, if i ever get a prophecy that could save your life... i'll keep that to myself, as well! from here on out, i'll only wish you the worst. [ more than he probably already did. ]

I’m well aware of it, I just simply don’t care when it comes to your words. [ percy’s jaw clenches. he’s tired already of listening to the other’s spewed judgment. he can feel a god like anger quell beneath his skin likely a byproduct of being born from the earth shaker himself know for his raging temper. percy let’s the anger dissolve and swallows down his next words to ease his stature. ] I don’t think I’ll ever need your opinion, on any matter that is.

[ ... ] percy jackson. aren't you aware that interrupting people while they're speaking is /rude/? (not that anything less was expected...) that's the problem here! you may not have asked for my criticism, but you certainly need it.
