Yes, I read a lot and all different genres which has definitely fed my brain a bit and given me a bit of muscle I can use when writing.
As for inspo… i get it from all over the place. Mostly, my stories are born from my maladaptive daydreams but often (especially lately) I’ve been finding inspiration in very random and specific things like a line in a song or a theme in a book or a name or an embroidered sweater. All of those r real examples lmao
To answer your questions shortly, I spend most of my life thinking, so thoughts come quickly like responses in a conversation with many many people.
Also, if I ever am stuck on a conversation or scene or premise or smth, I will try and think about my own life and experiences and keep the plot as close to reality as I can, sometimes even using exact lines I’ve heard ppl in my life say or using thoughts I’ve had or wtvr
