damn... i forgot how much i love woo jinchul. i really can't wait to get the next book for solo leveling,, cause my god,, i've been waiting to learn more secrets that i missed from the manhwa
          
          not only that,, but i want to find more easter eggs (like the one twice song reference-- wdym kpop exists within this world??? is twice still going strong? are any of them rankers? did kpop possibly stop after the sudden world was put into chaos bcs of the gates? who knows, not me. i haven't gotten the 4th book yet D: )

after a lot of thought,, i've come to the conclusion that the solo leveling anime is gonna be shit if they fr change it to be located in japan or if they make it into a fictional world

god,, and don't even get me started if they waifu the female characters. ik that cha haein, isel, and joohee were already meant to be romantic love interest characters for the sung jinwoo, but they were already also established to have more to them than that. i've seen how anime treats female characters in the past and man,, that's why i stopped watching it... i really hope they can manage to keep the way the three all have established interest in the mc,, but can balance out plot and character for them. 
            
            otherwise, the anime is gonna be absolutely shit.

like,, the whole idea of solo leveling,, is it's a reverse isekai. the fictional world comes to them. the world was normal in the beginning. 
            not only that, japan was known for having some of the most powerful s-rank hunters to begin with. to insert sung jinwoo into japan not only draws away from that lore and the fact that japan has the 2nd largest s-rank guild in asia,, but completely erases the arc of jeju island together, because jeju island is korean. not japanese. 
            
            ik there's a lot of hostility and history between japan and korea,, but i wish solo leveling was like lookism instead, and was going to be adapted by a korean animation team instead, bcs it feels like the anime is gonna be entirely different from the manhwa and the novel. fuck anime companies fr. feels like the percy jackson series all over again (with how the large corporations change the entire plot of the series that was already popular, and try to "simplify" it for movie-watchers)
