auradon prep is a learning institution established by queen belle and king adam so that their son, ben , could get a quality education alongside the rest of the royalty spread throughout the surrounding kingdoms. 

in the short time it has been open , it has established quite a reputation. it is known for it's champion tourney team , captained by prince ben , as well as it's [ the school's ] high academic standard.

it is also home to the first villain exchange program , where children from the isle of the lost are transferred to auradon prep , where they learn how to become a good person who fights for justice , not evil.
