Bro I fr can’t do anything without being judged by either my family or my friends or even people in my community. Here’s the thing. I’m Muslim (even though I’m not even sure if I really want to even belong to a religion) and I’m a lesbian. I was on my YouTube and I saw this video debating whether or not Muslims can be gay so I went to the comments expecting to see more accepting people because its 2023 but I was shocked by the about of Anti-Lgbtq stuff that is still around. I think most gay people have had religious struggles because of their sexuality but I never really thought I would care about stuff like that. As I was looking through the comments, I saw people saying that you can choose whether or not you want to be gay which is the most stupid thing I’ve ever fucking seen and people saying that if you are gay you have to change yourself/ repress it. Like no wonder I’ve never met another gay Muslim person if the community acts like this. Like I’ve seen people saying that they can’t support it but they respect it and honestly I’m fine with that but if you’re telling people to change themselves and their identity, that’s where I draw the line. 

Bro why did I have to have such a fucking messed up family. Them claim to be so supportive but deep down they know they aren’t. I asked my mom for the Heartstopper comics because I watched the show with my mom (which by the way ended in a huge fight and me not talking to her for like a week) mom is like “im a Muslim woman I can’t allow my child to do stuff like this” LIKE BRO WHAT. I don’t give a shit about how your fucking religion says “it’s wrong to be gay” (which by the way it doesn’t but for some reason they all think it does.)
          And my dad is even worse. I haven’t even asked him about Heartstopper becuase every time he’s confronted with something that isn’t about cishet people he’s super uncomfortable. He says stuff like “your moms religion is stupid but still you don’t want to be gay. That’s why you’re losing all of your friends and your best friend is uncomfortable around you.” Not to mention the disgusting things he’s said about trans people like Ines Rau and my non binary neighbor. Also, when I watched Heartstopper with my mom, we got like five minutes into an episode and my mom was already like “don’t be gay if you can avoid it.” And “it’s a choice.” Like bro what the actual fuck. No it fucking isn’t. If it was a choice and you could avoid it do you think that thousands of lgbtq people would die every year because of this shit? Like they aren’t the problem, you are. Also, I’m genuinely scared of my dad so if I stop posting for over six months I’m probably dead. It’s either going to be from me or my dad but ig we’ll find out ✌ anyways have a nice life
