I came across *He Found Her In The Dark* and I just wanted to say it quietly stayed with me after reading.
The line “In a city where smoke never fully leaves the sky, Elyra learned to stay silent just to survive” really pulled me in. It did not feel like just a setting. It felt like a weight that follows her everywhere. And the way you wrote “At eighteen, she wasn't living, she was enduring” felt very honest and real.
What stood out to me most was Riven. Not because he tried to save her, but because he simply stayed. That part felt rare. The quiet presence in the abandoned library stairway felt more powerful than something loud or dramatic.
Your story carries a feeling that many people will understand but may not always be able to explain. It has depth and emotion, and it feels like something meaningful is building.
At the same time, it feels like this story has not yet reached the kind of attention it deserves. It has something strong in it, something that could connect deeply with more readers if it is seen in the right way.
