guys i know you’re not pressuring me. you’re asking for updates because you are connected to the story and i truly appreciate that. please don’t feel like you have to walk on eggshells around me. i don’t take comments personally, so feel free to be honest. if you’re waiting for an update rn, please don’t. i’m occupied this weekend, so the next chapter will only come after sunday. i understand the disappointment, it’s totally fair if you feel disappointed, i just don’t have the time right now. i’m sorry if you feel like i’m testing your patience. i’ll be back.

 #MAFIA_SERIES

Aanya, stop," Adwait said, his voice slightly louder now, laced with warning.

She could see it-he was about to snap. Yes, yes, now he'll lose it, she thought, a thrill sparking in her chest.

But instead of reacting with anger, Adwait simply leaned back in the chair, eyes locked on hers. Then, without a word, he began to unbutton his shirt-slowly, deliberately-each movement exaggerated, until he yanked it off and tossed it aside.

Aanya's eyes widened. Her jaw dropped. Shock flooded her face.

"Ahhh! Shameless!" she shouted, spinning on her heel and making a dash for it.

But he was faster. Adwait stood in a flash, reached out, and caught her wrist mid-stride. She turned, her hand already balled into a fist, aiming straight for his face. But he caught it mid-air.

In one smooth motion, he twirled her under his arm like a dancer, then leaned in and pressed a bold kiss to her left cheek.

Her mouth dropped open again-outrage, disbelief, and something else flickering in her eyes.

She didn't hesitate. This time she lifted her knee, aiming for his stomach, but he caught her leg with ease. Sliding one arm under her knee and the other around her waist, he bent her slightly backward in a dramatic dip. Before she could wriggle free, he kissed her right cheek.

          Then-thud.

          He let go.

Aanya landed squarely on the floor, right on her backside.

Crossing his arms over his bare chest, Adwait looked down at her, a smug smile playing on his lips.

          "You lost," he said.

Veergarh was built on power.

And Meera walked into it wearing a bride's name that was never hers.

What begins as one twisted night soon traps her inside the palace - a palace drowning in royal traditions, dangerous secrets, and whispers that refuse to die.

Bound to the Crown Prince through a marriage neither of them chose, Meera finds herself pulled deeper into a world where every smile hides betrayal and every corridor carries the ghosts of the past.

Because years ago, someone was destroyed inside these walls.

And the closer Meera gets to the truth, the more Veergarh begins to unravel.

But in a kingdom built on lies, falling in love may be the deadliest mistake of all.

Not to sound pessimistic but I think the author has moved on. If she still used Wattpad, she would have at least given us some sort of update. She’s been away for way too long. At this point, I don’t think we should expect her to come back anymore. If she does, it’ll be the biggest surprise ever. Until then it’s just us rereading the same chapters again and again.
