Hello everyone. I guess it’s early morning in south asia right now, so let me start your morning with a solid good news (I hope). I will start writing Aaliyah again. I don’t know why I stopped writing, life was too cruel and overwhelming to me all these months but all of a sudden when I opened the comments today, I realized how unfair I have been to you all. You all didn’t deserve that cliffhanger. I will try to be active and update once a week as of now. Don’t ask me about other stories now, I would solely like to focus on one atm. I cannot be grateful enough for you all, to the ones who waited and even the ones who didn’t. Happy new year to everyone!
          	{I won’t be posting on instagram anymore.}

 #MAFIA_SERIES

          Aanya, stop," Adwait said, his voice slightly louder now, laced with warning.

          She could see it-he was about to snap. Yes, yes, now he'll lose it, she thought, a thrill sparking in her chest.

          But instead of reacting with anger, Adwait simply leaned back in the chair, eyes locked on hers. Then, without a word, he began to unbutton his shirt-slowly, deliberately-each movement exaggerated, until he yanked it off and tossed it aside.

          Aanya's eyes widened. Her jaw dropped. Shock flooded her face.

          "Ahhh! Shameless!" she shouted, spinning on her heel and making a dash for it.

          But he was faster. Adwait stood in a flash, reached out, and caught her wrist mid-stride. She turned, her hand already balled into a fist, aiming straight for his face. But he caught it mid-air.

          In one smooth motion, he twirled her under his arm like a dancer, then leaned in and pressed a bold kiss to her left cheek.

          Her mouth dropped open again-outrage, disbelief, and something else flickering in her eyes.

          She didn't hesitate. This time she lifted her knee, aiming for his stomach, but he caught her leg with ease. Sliding one arm under her knee and the other around her waist, he bent her slightly backward in a dramatic dip. Before she could wriggle free, he kissed her right cheek.

          Then-thud.

          He let go.

          Aanya landed squarely on the floor, right on her backside.

          Crossing his arms over his bare chest, Adwait looked down at her, a smug smile playing on his lips.

          "You lost," he said.
