          Hey Autumn, so rather randomly I find myself in Wattpad having not been here for YEARS! It was such a sweet thing to spot your comment (which in itself is also years old!) - particularly as I find myself dissecting and rolling my eyes at some of what I wrote! Distance & time makes me a fierce critic! But perhaps I need some more writing back in my life... I hope all is well with you and wish you every success in your writing and publishing adventures

          Do not stop, do not pass go do not collect $200, put it in your library right now. read the blurb. take just a sneak peek at the epigraphs and Chapter 1. realize you've accidentally read ten chapters and say what the heck, I can stay up a few hours tonight.
          
          Literally went to put it on my "Read These Before You Die" list before I remembered that I had already done that at Chapter 10. Maybe I need a "Tolkien fanfics that have been turned into a movie in my dream world" list.

Strongly miffed on @Silmarilz1701 's behalf who had one of her historical fanfictions taken down by Wattpad for no valid reason. This site has been shooting itself in the foot for years, but as they move increasingly towards algorithm reliance and attempt to validate themselves as a monetization/publishing platform, they're sidelining just about every inch of the community I've stuck around so long trying to keep. Now they're weeding my favorite parts of that community out.
          
          Nostalgia will do a lot to keep me around here. People get busy and move on, it happens. I've stuck around even when I do more ghosting than interacting. But when the site itself is targeting its old-timers, even nostalgia won't keep me here for long.
          
          Which is a shame, because I was just starting to be excited about coming back. And it will absolutely hurt because this place is embedded in my growing-up era and almost every part of the lasting author community I have today can be traced right back here.
          
          Anyways. Uh. On the bright side, The Journey had its cover reveal today?? :3 I did go ahead and update it on the book so y'all can go see. And pre-orders for the second edition (paperback and hardcover both) are live! No pre-order for ebooks, but they'll be up on Amazon and other retailers on 7/17/24 :)

Good evening, Wattpad fam <3 Last time I posted on here it was to announce the "going-dark" era for me and my books. Today is my day to announce that they're coming back.
          
          The Journey comes out in second-edition form this July, 7/17/24, and you all are NOT READY for the new cover in the works. I've metaphorically died and arisen several times at this point and all imma say for the present is, the Alan Lee vibes are strong with this one, and there will be Mountains with a capital M.
          
          Other cool details re: the upcoming series relaunch:
          
          - illustrations by my sister!!! also known as partner in crime for all Legea-related things since its genesis in 2012
          
          - hardcover edition! by popular demand <3
          
          - IF I CAN ACTUALLY GET AROUND TO MAKING THEM... a unique map for every book after The Journey. (The Village: map of Ceristen + a small inset showing the Kenhelm's travel route from Rehirne / The Claw: Delgrass + surrounding region / The War: Orden) (The Journey will feature the original map of Legea as a double page spread)

          I don't know who reads these anymore, who remembers that they're following me anymore, but IF you are reading/plan to read my published series, and IF you want to purchase it, you will have to do so prior to November 1, 2022 or wait an indefinite time. The Ceristen Series is coming down from all retailers and venues. Second editions will release independently after an unknown interim period.
          
          This is an unfortunate announcement to have to make, but a necessary one. For details, feel free to ask me. If enough people need a detailed update, I'll go ahead and make a chapter in my random book about it.

It was almost a two-year wait since the last one, but Ceristen book 3 is now part of the published crew! If you've been waiting on this one, you can purchase on Amazon or other preferred retailer, buy a signed copy from me directly, or request it at your library (seriously, valid option)
          
          Or all three. Nobody would ever complain about all three (though why do you need two physical copies?) (*facepalm as I remember buying gifts for other people is a thing that exists*)

Update to Starlight Under Clouds (finally lol). Chapter 12 and Chapter 13 are both complete — 13 will be posted once all readers have caught up on Chapter 12.
          
          Chapter 14 is already under way, and Chapter 15 is finished and ready for posting...
          
          So yeah, y'all MIGHT be in for a bit of an update binge. About time, am I right? XD
