I just finished Evergreen and I'm still processing everything. I decided to try out the story after Emeraldine recommended it and since the book Elio Marino is perfect, I thought she'd have some good taste. I love fantasy and I also adore a book that has a good amount of smut but that it isn't the main plot of the story. The whole universe is beautifully written and described, the way they found balance and the stone pool was very cleverly imagined. Renna at first, really looks shallow and naive, but as you get to know her, she can be a light person yet such a genius at the same time. It's amazing to see a character that can be strategical, traumatized, smart and extroverted at the same time. Rexxan is adorable and such a fighter, I simply adore him, his story, the way he finds out his own way of expressing and showing love towards Renna. And to see his own progress, and him learning that he can rule a kingdom and be happy is so special. Onyx's story is so sad, but I can see how he has grown and is growing, I can't wait for his book because I'm sure he's just as smart as Renna and he is deserving of finding love and having children. Lynna is not of this world, and even if we didn't see enough of her, I know she hides a lot of pain, just like Rexxan, and that she's also extremely smart and caring. I love how she can be beautiful, like material things like diamonds and dresses, the opposite of Renna, but still be a badass. It really shows that each woman can set her own preferences without being seen as weak, or as too masculine. I know she has a lot in store for her yet. SPOILER (Stellan... I mean... you know. But despite all my tears every time his name was mentioned, the butterfly scene was so freaking perfect, it felt right that his end was the way it was. It was emotions I was okay with accepting and going through. It was so well written. Now he can be complete just like Rexxan is. He was so charismatic and funny from the start, he will be missed...
