Many different parts of the story are being written, edited, and critiqued simultaneously. Much like the writing itself, this process came out of instinct and just trying what works best. What the writing process of Isaac's Blessing looked like, and currently looks like, is something like this:
          
          1st Draft - I started out taking a break from my writing group and writing the story in full. This part of the process took about a month or two, and it was a lot of fun to work on the story all the way through, but I missed having a deadline and sharing my writing—these are but a few perks of having a writing community. After writing the story all the way through, I figured I'd go through the first editing pass with my writing group. This portion of the process ended around chapter 8 because I realized there was a lot of work left to do. I wrote and wrote some more and finished the story a second time. During this time, I tracked my progress because writing can drag sometimes, and I did this by releasing my chapters as I work on them on Wattpad. Mostly nobody reads that version of the story, which is part of why I post it there. But my origins are on Wattpad, and they always will be, and I feel like deep down somewhere, every time I post on there, I am fulfilling that part of me that writes with a passion for being great.
          
          2nd Draft - I am currently reading Isaac's Blessing for the first time from start to finish, and I like it. I have also realized that I need some time off. Therefore, after this read-through, I will set the story aside, maybe for a week or perhaps a month, and work on other things. Then I will come back and finish the story, and then we'll see where it goes, hopefully somewhere a lot of people can see it. The story of Isaac's Blessing is coming to a close, with only four chapters left to release. This chapter is about Isaac and Rebekah coming together after the death (or so we think) of their friend Boyd. We see the last of the dying Dyra and hear ancient advice that Rebekah can only hope to have the courage to follow. Finally, in her last-minute effort to find some way to escape off the island, Rebekah tries to sway the dimwitted librarian, pastor Nim.

She could hardly distinguish the location of Isaac and Boyd as they sauntered close next to her, the little dragon's steps no more than patters. No plants illuminated the way. The darkness of Tempus stretched outward from their main path to infinity, making her feel as little as it had when she'd first seen it five years ago."

In this edition of Isaac's Blessing, Isaac and Rebekah follow Oswaldo through the enchanted forest, on their way to meet with the Elder. They meet with Boyd, who has discovered some amazing abilities in his path as a warrior. Unfortunately, they do not want to share their path with Boyd—and hardly want to admit it themselves. Is it the only way?
          
          "With a curious caution, Isaac walked out onto the soft grass and looked up to the moon. It hadn't moved. This really is another realm, he thought. And that's no moon I've ever seen. That's the moon of a hundred years ago, before Jericho's reign."

In this chapter of Mosaic: Isaac's Blessing, Rebekah ventures further into the new version of the Tempus forest that she and Isaac find themselves in. There is something strangely unique about this new place and how she can understand Isaac much better here, sympathize with him and everybody else more clearly. Before she knows, Rebekah loses herself in the comfort of this new realm, just as the native creatures had planned.
          
          "'How would one do that?' Isaac asked. 'Betray themselves?'
          
          'Why the same way they would betray anybody else. They would make themselves a promise that they do not mean to keep, or simply not admit their true feelings. But in this realm, no one can hide their emotions. Not around us. That's why beings from all realms come here to make or renew their promises.'"

In this chapter, Boyd is skeptical about the dragon that happened to accompany Isaac out of the harbor. He is also jealous of the developing relationship that Isaac and Rebekah seem to have. As the group loses track of the pastors and gets lost in the forest, they follow a strange but pleasant sound into a new version of Tempus, one filled with life, unaltered by the reign of Jericho. In this new realm, Boyd separates himself from the two, giving them their space, and in doing so, ends up stranded once again. Though this time, the creatures he meets in Tempus fly in the air, and have much more to say.
          
          "There was no way to know how the dragon would act, no matter how young it was. Just because it listened and stuck close to Isaac's leg didn't mean it could be trusted. The way it slithered and sniffed the ground alongside them was deceptive at the least, and potentially murderous. A young creature so blessed would have a power they know nothing of, not to mention its unpredictable, untrained Spirit. Regardless, Isaac had invited the creature along without asking the group, as if it were proven harmless. Boyd wasn't convinced, but Isaac definitely was, bragging about his 'vision' to Rebekah."
