            assertive ?  yes .  if one is not ,  there is a chance for mistakes to be made .  true understanding is lost if one hides behind falsehoods .  githyanki do not make mistakes ,  karlach of balder's gate .

             ⠀⠀ [   the tiefling looked at the warrior while she listened, soaking up the words of lae’zel’s homeland and picturing her homeland in her mind. the sight was beautiful, though she was not sure how quite accurate it was in her own mind. she would ask eventually, perhaps even request for lae’zel to show her— if she would allow such an intimate-seeming moment.   ]      vlaakith is your.. commander?      [   lae’zel had mentioned her before, but it was brief enough that karlach had not picked up on what the woman was to her, or perhaps she was preoccupied by the time lae’zel explained further.   ]

            *  lae'zel was taken aback by the question ,  but did not show it .  she merely sheathed her blade && took a seat on a fallen log .  *
            
            ki'liir is nestled in the astral plane ,  held like one does a cup .  it is like the waters here ,  deep in its' coloring but unlike this plane the colors are seen by all .  stars flank the clouded skies && there is one sun && two moons that encircle my home .  there are dips in the rock ,  but the composition is sweet rather than salty .  there is little force that holds the body to this plane .  had i been blessed by vlaakith to ride a red dragon ,  i would have seen more && more of the astral .

             ⠀⠀ [   karlach offered a nod in response, her gaze still focused on the night sky. the view was beautiful, far different than what she was used to. she found it beautiful, more so than avernus.   ]      what was your homeland like?

"I know... Most are still drawn to the temporary comfort of hope. Hope... Just a tool used to control those who don't know any better." She mumbled.

@stolenfaith- ⠀⠀⠀⠀ the flames of avernus are unforgiving and always hungry for more, karlach knew such things all too well. what she did not understand was the woman before her, who welcomed pain with open arms.
