Thank you all so, so much for 1 million reads on Muggle Witch!
When I started writing this story back in February, I wrote purely for myself, just to try something new. To see if writing still brought me joy after stopping completely for over a decade. Writing in English, which isn’t even my first language, was a whole extra challenge. (And let’s be honest: the first ten chapters? Chaos. lol.)
And then somehow… this little story became my entire life.
Muggle Witch filled all my free time. And then slowly, it started filling all the other time, too. I started skipping things that used to bring me joy. Because it meant losing writing hours. I told myself it was fine. That this was what passion looked like. And it was fine. Until it wasn’t.
I’ve always been an overthinker, and when the story began reaching thousands of people… of course there was going to be hate. And spite.
You won’t see many negative comments, because I’m constantly deleting hate speech, threats, racism, and homophobia. This story is meant to be a safe space. For everyone. Including me.
The story will come to an end sometime in early spring 2026. And to be honest… I don’t know how long I’ll leave Muggle Witch up once it’s finished. I can’t imagine continuing to read hundreds of comments every single day, letting strangers have that kind of power over my mood for years.
So for now: Muggle Witch will take a short Christmas break from 21–31 December.
And so will I.
But enough of the heavy stuff!
We hit ONE MILLION READS.
I never thought that would happen. Ever!
Thank you for being here. For reading. For loving Lena, Fred and George.
Thank you to Elisa who once was a reader and now is my real life friend. (And Elisa OC btw.)
Now enjoy the next chapters, and then we’ll be back on January 1st with the final stretch.
Have a lovely Christmas and an amazing new year. I love you all. (Well. The nice ones.)
Your Lena
