          unfortunately the device i use to write / edit / post chapters is broken, which is why it’s been a while since i’ve updated clairvoyant. i’m hoping to get it fixed this weekend, so i can post a chapter next thursday. until then, enjoy this snippet from an upcoming scene:
          
          “ He figured that he probably should have been worried, or guilty, or something that wasn't nothing. But it was always like that afterwards, just emptiness. Like a damn had broken inside him and the water had flooded out, leaving him dry. ”
