          First of all, thank you so much for all the love you’ve been showing Love Me After Death. Seeing your comments and excitement has honestly made me so happy!
          
          I just wanted to add a small disclaimer before the story continues.
          
          While this fanfiction is set during the events of The Vampire Lestat (the third season of Interview with the Vampire), there will be some differences from both the books and the series. This is very much an alternate-universe interpretation that expands on the story.
          
          Don’t worry—Louis and Lestat’s relationship absolutely still happened, and it remains an important part of Lestat’s life and history. Rose isn’t replacing that relationship or rewriting it.
          
          Instead, one of the themes I want to explore is what it means to heal after heartbreak. Lestat’s journey in this story is about learning that it’s possible to move forward without forgetting the people you’ve loved, and discovering what it means to love someone gently after centuries of pain.
          
          I hope you’ll enjoy this version of his story, and thank you for coming along for the ride. ❤️
