My comment isn’t showing so here’s what I wrote:
Don’t worry! shit’s just getting real right now and I’m also setting the stage for Blair and Catalina’s life as teenagers with the kind of moms they have and how chaotic it is for them, but they’re all getting their happy endings. It’s just drama.
What you said about Camila missing the train or sending it away, and the song too, really got me. That’s so true. It fucking stings, idk how one can recover from that kind of heartbreak. The song too”Waco, Texas” by Ethel Cain that she told her therapist about is her exact mental state on her relationship with Lauren, and it’s soul crushing to think about her position. She could’ve had it all had she realized things sooner. She’s with Sabrina because they’re so much alike and compatible, but also because Sabrina IS similar to Lauren too only she’s the better version of Lauren that Camila needed. They were afraid of boring because they didn’t know what true peace was or what that could mean for them. They thought love was supposed to be intoxicating, intense, painful, chaotic, a little toxicity with big victories, dramatic and crazy passionate, and if it were stable that’d mean they’d be sick of each other and have failed. So when Lauren had a taste of what true peace was with María, she changed completely, that’s what her soul needed all along and now she doesn’t want to let go of it. All she wants is simplicity now, not what she had with Camila.

@ssweet-decadence That was really comforting to read, since I'd been a little nervous about what might come next, especially with Camila's depressive thoughts. But I really liked the last chapter, even with all its anxious energy. It had this noir cinematic vibe - very atmospheric. And I love how Lauren didn’t give up on Camila, just kept quietly taking care of her. It's exactly what I'd expect from Lauren, as caring for the people she loves is one of her strongest traits. Also, the part where Lauren was teasing Camila was so funny to read, I was laughing. Like a tiny piece of nonchalance in the middle of all the terrifying events. And the idea of a family trip, which I really hope that shows up in one of the next chapters - I think it’s super important for the kids. It feels like they just need a break from all their mom's drama and a chance to have some peaceful, normal family time. And now I feel like it could happen.
